3.5yo difficult behaviour

Recently my 3.5yo screams he is very angry and hits us every time when he doesn't get his way

He's not like that at nursery at all only at home

I guess it is kind of normal behaviour for this age but I am at a loss how to deal with it. We tried doing cuddles, talking, time out etc nothing seems to be working.

Any suggestions?

Oh no, how difficult and upsetting for you.
It sounds like you've already tried this but I would try just being boringly consistent - if he hits you, just stop him and say firmly (not crossly) 'no' and explain to him how to act when he is angry and that hitting is not acceptable. If he continues send him to his room or do a timeout.
The fact he only does it at home means that he is not out of control as he knows he can't do it at nursery (which is obviously more upsetting as he's just behaving horribly to you!). I love it when kids save their especially horrible behaviours for their most special people Wink
Just need to hang in there - once he sees that there's no benefit to him in terms of attention he'll (hopefully!) grow out of it!
