Stoller for holiday recommendations

DisneyGirl2387 · 27/07/2021 07:55

We currently have an oyster 3 travel system which we love! But although it is a compact pushchair it still takes up a lot of my fiat 500x boot. I was thinking of getting a stroller for our holiday that is smaller but i don't know where to begin. They seem to range massively in price! Any recommendations would be great. My DS is nearly 9 months old x

We have the silvercross zest, huge hood, use up to 25kg, light weight but it has a tiny basket.

Silvercross jet is amazing. Folds super small and has a handle so can be pushed like cabin baggage and can go in the overhead cabin rather than have to go in the hold. I couldn’t believe how light it is but still feels really sturdy. It also has several recline options and can go flat for smaller babies. I’m really chuffed with it. Has a nice handle and a decent basket unlike a lot of the lightweight / travel ones I’ve seen

Ergobaby Metro is excellent, comfy, light and folds up small enough for hand luggage. Great sun shade on it too and a reasonable size storage basket for a travel buggy

I had a cheapy one (Dimple) and it was perfect. Didn’t care about it getting wrecked on the plane or dragging it around beaches etc.

The jet sounds really good. How upright is the seat in the most upright position?
I have a baby jogger city tour but I don't like it because the seat isn't very upright so baby is kind of slumped in it.

It sits right up so no probs there. Reclines really nicely too for sleeping. It’s pricey is my only complaint having spent a fortune on a travel system when pregnant! But I got it brand new in the original boxing on eBay and significantly less than the RRP so definitely worth a browse!

Micralite fast food. Pump up-able back wheels so can go, on any terrain, also goes on a plane. We took our boy up a mountain in one in Nepal, coped with any type of ground. Lightweight and can steer with a finger. cocoon like foot muff, so really comfy and warm in the winter.

Thank you! I'm so tempted to buy it but DH would kill me, I bought a Bugaboo Fox2 about 6 months ago Blush Grin

We love our silver cross pop bought for DS1 and still going strong on Ds2. Really sturdy considering it's a lightweight stroller and folds up and down really easy once you get the hang of it. They are always on special offer somehwere if you shop around, or there will be loads on marketplace/gumtree

DisneyGirl2387 · 28/07/2021 19:57

Thank you everyone. Super suggestions. I will get researching! Xx

I second the silver cross jet. Can seem a little fiddly to get down and fold up at first but you soon get used to it with practise. I managed to pick up a nearly new second hand one at a fraction of the price on fb marketplace.
