Changing from Neocate back to regular formula?

Hi, me again! I've done multiple previous posts regarding similar topics.

My daughter who is 10 weeks old has been on Neocate & 13mg or Omeprazole (the max dose for her age) for 3 weeks now. She has extreme acid reflux, suspected cmpa and colic... yes, life has been hell for the past 10 weeks. She scream cries for hours and hours on end and doesn't sleep. She gets especially unsettled and upset after her 6pm feed and the crying lasts until around 11:30pm.
Anyway, I've read that if it is cmpa usually Neocate will do the trick & you will start to see improvements within a week. There is absolutely no improvement with my baby at all!! So, my question is.. is it worth keeping her on Neocate if there really isn't any difference? Perhaps there is another formula out there that could work? An anti colic / reflux one? Plus Neocate seems to make her extremely gassy which also leads to her being further upset.

How long has she been on it? She has to be on it for 2 weeks so the cow milk gets out of her system before you can say it’s not working. There are different formula. Is neocate completely dairy and soya free or is it just broken down?

You need to give it 2 weeks and if its not working speak to the dietician or paediatrician.

Like I said, she's been on it 3 weeks now

Sorry I missed that bit. You'll need to contact the dietician or paediatrician for a different milk or different medication. They sometimes use lansoprazole if omeorazole doesn't work. There's a few other milks if pepti 1 and neocate don't help but they need to be prescribed.

Is your baby constipated at all? Neocate can cause that and could be the reason for discomfort and crying and not sleeping ? Neocate is the best milk for cmpa as it's completely free of any lactose broken down at all , pepti 1 and nutramigen still have milk in them . What were the symptoms of cmpa? Did baby have sickness and if so has that stopped since being on neocate

Are you thickening it? It is naturally very runny and only worked for us once thickened.

She is sometimes constipated and struggles to pass wind. The sickness is 100% worse with Neocate, I'm aware Neocate is thinner but whenever I use a thickener it's causes her to be more bunged up & constipated ..Confused
