Did my toddler get a neck injury.

My toddler son has been driving me crazy again . Today while jumping around on bed , he fell backwards, and landed his neck on the somewhat padded round edge of bed.
My husband watched in utter horror , his face turning almost pale. The baby sat back up , and just touched his neck as if hurt. But then went around do his usual things again. He even ate some food and is now sleeping.

Honestly, we are still shocked of what transpired. I m sad too. If my baby did fracture his neck or dislocated his vertebral discs in neck ,it would have hurt right .

So my baby is ok ?? I don't know 😔

Edit : my son when he landed backwards almost reflexed his neck backwards. Because his head was beyond the bed. And his torso like landed on edge of bed. His neck on boundary. But he got up and acted pretty normal since then

I think your baby is probably fine and as you say you would know about it if there was a problem. Does he normally sleep at this time? If you are worried you can regularly prod him and if he rouses (eg moves about, mutters, etc) he is ok. Additionally if anything makes you feel he is not right arm medical help. They would rather see a well child than miss one who needed help.

Personally I would take him in for a quick once over at A+E. put minds at rest and pick anything up if there was an injury.
