Keeping ears dry when swimming

DS has had a lots of ear infections as a result he's been given a hearing aid. We've been told to keep his ears as dry as possible.

We use a head shield when bathing him and we don't generally go swimming, however, we go away in a few weeks to a holiday park with a pool and DS is really excited to go swimming. Last year we tried some things that went in his ear (not right in just covering the opening) but they fell out really easily.

Can anybody recommend anything to cover his ears whilst we're swimming, he's 6 and can't swim so we either hold him or he uses arm bands/a float. He doesn't put his head under the water.

We had this and DD wore wax earplugs that were moulded info her ears. Is that what you have?

Then she wore a swimming headband over the top of those to hold them in.

We've just ordered the zoggs kids earplugs and swimming headband to hold them in place for my son. Fingers crossed they work!

Thank you, I think it was the zogg earplugs we had but we didn't have a headband, I will take a look.

Those were the type we had last year. Fingers crossed with a headband they'll stay put.

I had this exact issue when I was a child, and the Drs told my parents to use blu tack. Sounds mad, but it worked when no other ear plus would stay in!
