1 year old crying in sleep

For the past few weeks my DD has been crying out loud in her sleep a few times a night and it’s horrible to hear, it startles me from time to time as it is so loud and it is happening every night. I check her and her nappy is fine, she’s at a nice temperature and is still asleep. It isn’t hunger as she’s gone through the night from the age of 7/8 month now and the crying doesn’t last long at all. Has anyone had anything similar and know what I can do to help her

Is she teething? My DD is 14 months and does this quite often, usually when she’s teething. She cries out but is still asleep, scares the hell out of me.
