I was lucky enough to escape my teen hood spot free...my little brother however wasn't.

From your own point of view/experiences??

Any recommendations on skincare/rountines Products for early teens

Is this for your brother? Dianette (the pill) works wonders for teenage girls.

Different things work for different people, I would avoid anything like Clearasil like the plague, it's harsh, abrasive and doesn't solve hormonal acne.
How did I feel about my acne, well it runs in my family, so I cursed my genes quite a lot and I never wanted to discuss it. Especially with people who start a conversation with 'You should eat Watercress it really helps with spots' or 'try washing with imperial leather, my dcs use it and they don't get spots'. And yes people really did say this to me.

Dianette was the only thing that worked for me. My gp put me on v. strong antibiotics for years previously to try and deal with it - you can imagine how that messed with my system

Poor dd1 is already getting spots and she's only 10.5 - I'm dreading it

oh ranting I got that too - along with "you shouldn't eat so much chocolate" and "boys will never fancy you when you are so spotty"

Oh yes and older people with their 'Ah pimples, have you been kissing boys'
Used to make me want to say 'Not with a face that resembles a meat feast pizza, no'
