My 5 year old daughter wont settle at night. We have a routine. Has plenty of attention. Comfortable room f9r a little princess. But makes excuses says shes hungry or too warm. Or wants more story time. I get as far as my bedroom before shes up again. But not able to go downstairs. A reward chart worked for few weeks but nothing works now. Any advice x

Final wee before bed, cup of water by her bed - night night and walk out. stop engaging, be consistent!

She thrashes on her bed crying. She just doesn't give in

Let her thrash or lie with her till she's asleep.

Eventually she will learn- it’s a battle of wills I’m sure. Don’t start sitting with her until asleep, it’s another rod for your back you will have to change at some point

My 5yo is the same recently. I am worried by the sudden change. She used to be knackered after school. She is fine to be left alone but plays by herself for hours and sneaks out of her room to get into mischief when we are not looking.
