I know there is probably nothing I can do but I was just wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks of how to stop breast milk leaking? I’ve found that I am constantly leaking and I am honestly sick to death of wearing a bra/nursing bra every second of my life! i’m a member of the itty bitty titty committee and before pregnancy I very rarely wore a bra and i’d love to not have to wear one all the time! thank you.

Are you bf? How old is your baby?

Bancha · 17/07/2021 06:19

I don’t have any tips, I leaked for months. But nighttime nursing bras are much more comfortable than the clip ones, that might help.

Skyla01 · 17/07/2021 07:32

Could you wear a nursing vest instead? H&m do good ones with light support built in. I use them with pads in place. How old is your baby? I still leak a little but it's much better after a few months.

I agree H&M nursing best or similar, holds pads well. How old is baby? If you’re still east abolishing supply this will probably settle, but if more than a few months old you might want to get advice about oversupply if always leaking, especially if fast let down.

Time is the only way unfortunately! I liked the lanisoh washable pads, they might be OK under a supportive vest (particularly the H&M ones mentioned above)

Are you pregnant or have you had your baby? I found all leaking stopped by about 8 weeks pp (ebf to 16 months). If you are bf though, I expect you'll probably want to wear a bra though. But could have no more leaking.

If you notice yourself leaking, press the heel of your hand against your boob and it should immediately stop.

@BertieBotts @mindutopia @PinkDaffodil2 @Pissinthepottyplease @Bancha @KatieKat88 @Skyla01 thank you! my baby is only three weeks old so i could be a bit more patient😂

3 weeks here and getting through lots of pads and tops from leaking Confused hoping it will settle down! I like washable pads rather than plastic. H and M and Asda have vest tops with sone support.

User0ne · 17/07/2021 22:17

Wear patterned tops (they hide the leaks better). Dc3 is coming up to 4m and I'm just stopping leaking now (longest it's gone on for out the 3)

BertieBotts · 18/07/2021 04:41

Ah yes 3 weeks is only early days. I didn't really leak beyond 12 weeks with my first or at all with my second.

Loose feeding sleep bras are good and not as uncomfortable or H&M do some feeding tops which are less restrictive than an actual bra and will hold a breast pad.

BertieBotts · 18/07/2021 04:41

Breast shells can also be great at they catch the run off and you can save it up for an emergency bottle!

AyyX · 18/07/2021 05:37

10 weeks bf and I’m still leaking. Especially while I’m feeding, the other boob will leak.
I’ve worn the H&M nursing bra and just put breast pads in but when you’re sleeping they move and you end up getting soaked! My top tip while doing that is to put two overlapping next to each other so you don’t leak onto your vest.
