Hi, just after a little advice….
My DS turned one today, but I have also found out I am six weeks pregnant. Whilst I am very happy to find I am expecting again, the panic is also creeping in. I have read numerous posts and expect the hard work however what I am most concerned about is how to survive money wise whilst being on maternity leave again.
It may be me being paranoid but I can almost hear everyone reading this saying I should of been more responsible and planning my finances before having another child but accidents happen.
Myself and my partner earn a decent wage, enough to cover rent and bills anyway so were told we aren’t eligible to get help with any benefits. The only way we survived my first maternity was from savings as our first was planned, he has not long started nursery and I have been back at work full time for 3 months. I’m worried sick that now we won’t be able to pay our bills.
If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. Thank you x

You have to find ways to save money if you can't make more. If neither of you earn over £50k a year you would get child benefit, not a huge amount but every little helps.

Our 2nd & 3rd have a 16.5mth gap. I became a sahm once my MA finished from the 2nd, I wasn't a high earner before and only part-time as dh works away a lot. Things were extremely tight but we managed, dh worked harder for promotions and things got easier.
