Has anyone bought anything from this website before? There’s a car seat I want on there that’s on sale but I’m not sure if it’s a good website or not..

Its definitely a legitimate website it's been around for years .

There’s mixed reviews on there so I’m not sure whether to buy something from there or not 😩

Yes! We went into the store to check out our travel system and then ordered on the website and all was fine!! 😀

I’ve had two prams from there and have been for a look around there store once (pre-covid) - it’s great.

AyyX · 14/07/2021 21:48

Ok, that’s reassured me. Thanks a lot everyone!

I had to pay ten pounds for return postage of a car seat. Luckily I had paid with PayPal and could apply for the return postage back using this. However, it was an utter nightmare trying to get hold of customer services to request a return label. Nobody would answer the phone or email for a week and they have a 14 day returns policy. In the end I googled all the parcel carriers and found that toYou had an arrangement with them. Bundled it off without speaking to anyone and luckily got my money back.
The reviews are likely to be accurate in my opinion

Customer service isn't great, I had a car seat arrive damaged and it took a fortnight and a threat to claim full refund for the whole travel system via my credit card before anyone was arsed to sort it for me. Once they got the message it was fine.

Bought two car seats from their showroom about a year ago and was really impressed. They talked us through everything and the assistant walked round with an iPad to price check everything. They're independent as well, I was cheeky and asked if I bought two would I get a discount and they did knock a few quid off the price. Showroom is lovely as well

It was several years ago now but I bought a Boori cot bed and drawer from Kiddies Kingdom and it was all fine.

AyyX · 14/07/2021 22:09

@HulahoopsBBQbeef @Heyha
I keep seeing similar reviews to these online too that’s why I was a bit scared
but there are good reviews too

It seems like getting through to them is difficult when there’s a fault or returning.

Hopefully if I order the car seat it’s all fine 😬

For something as important as a car seat, I do think it's better to buy it from a physical shop if you can. They can advise you and usually fit it for you. List of specialist retailers here:

If it helps pramworld have some good deals on and I've ordered my cot travel system and even my pram 6 year ago for my first ds if your looking at any alternative websites, if you really want to order from somewhere with amazing customer service then John Lewis would be your best bet.

AyyX · 15/07/2021 10:43

@NameChange30 none of those are near me :(
I think I’m either going to go on prawmsworld, contact rearfacingtoddlers or just go into John Lewis.

I hope this doesn't reach you too late, but I couldn't warn you off then strongly enough. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. We've been waiting for a refund for a faulty car seat (cybex - spinning seat which stopped locking into place) since March. They have dragged their feet every step of the way, obviously with the hope that I'll just give up. Have spent countless hours trying to get the money back. They've ignored emails until I've given them final notice before taking them to small claims court. It was even collected by their courier months ago and STILL not had the refund! If we hadn't had the money to be able to just purchase a replacement whilst this saga has dragged on, and we had been in a car crash, our son would may well have died and it would have been Kiddies Kingdom's fault. They might be fractionally cheaper but the customer services is so poor it's not worth it - not in a million years. As parents you just need to minimise potential stress and hassle, and sticking to someone like John Lewis is worth it. Best of luck with everything sand hope you don't have the same trouble as us

At 37 weeks pregnant they dumped 2 full pallets of nursery furniture in my road and refused to carry it in for me. It wasn't even the day it was supposed to be delivered.
I had to phone my fiancee to come home from work and empty the pallets from the road!!!!
