Hello mums. I’m looking for recommendations for toys/games, indoor/outdoor for my 2.3 year old. She seems to have suddenly outgrown a lot of her toys & I am struggling to keep her occupied - I have a 4 month old so really need some things that can keep her entertained longer than 5 minutes! Would love to hear some suggestions?
TIA

My 2.5 year old enjoys:

  • water/sand tray in the garden
  • massive box of Duplo bricks I picked up for a tenner on FB market
  • wooden trainset with an electric train
  • toy doctor's kit and playing doctor to his baby doll
  • big box of toy food and a toy picnic set
  • jigsaw
  • cheap packs of stickers (which he usually sticks on his balance bike)
  • his Peppa pig characters and their cars/aeroplane/tree house
  • his big sister's dolls house
  • crayons

He does really love playing hide and seek, kicking a ball round the garden, and watching TV.

I find toy rotation and book rotation helps a lot.

Thank you :-)
I do have most of those but toy rotation sounds a good plan, I will give that a go!

Yes to Duplo etc

I think its just a busy age! They will play and move on and go back.
Mine loved the sand pit a lot at that age (still do)

If you’ve got the space, this is great.

My 2.5 year old loves this: www.amazon.co.uk/Melissa-Doug-Reusable-Sticker-Pad/dp/B00HWHO3ZW/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=vinyl+stickers+book+transport&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1626347379&sr=8-4

I only let him have limited numbers of the stickers at a time! He doesn't use the book but loves sticking them on the conservatory door (any glass will work), then taking them off, or stirring them up as 'dinner' in a bowl.

Otherwise he mostly plays with his cars and train set, balls and lift the flap books.

Hi everyone!
My little one really loves these balance beams, they're real great activity, helps to improve her balance and keeps her occupied for a long time.
I bought a set here: ewartwoods.shop/products/wooden-balance-beam?_pos=1&_sid=4e82a887c&_ss=r&variant=39812208918562
maybe you'll like them as well!

My DS spent the better part of this morning cooking in his toy kitchen and feeding his baby doll.

He also likes his Happyland farm and an Orchard Toy colour sorting board game. I would say they're the main toys of the moment.

What toys does she currently have?
