Can DD sit in the front seat?

I have a 2 hour car journey to do tomorrow with DD (2.5yrs). She isn't very well (being sick) but we need/have to travel. Is it legal for her to sit (in her car seat) in the front passenger seat?
I know it isn't the safest place for her to sit but I'd rather have her close at hand if she is about to be ill.
Thank you.

yes, when i googled it before there didnt seem to be an age restriction.
i preferred the back due to kicking the gear sticks and the radio etc,m

Not if you have a passenger air bag fitted.

Thank you, I just googled it too! I prefer her in the back as it is safer. I am worried about her being sick and possibly choking and me not noticing or having to keep turning round to check her. If she is in the front then I can see her easily.
Thank you for your reply.
