Hi all,

I'm 8 months post partum and finding all of a sudden have really bad skin on my face.

I've never had this and usually have good skin and often didn't wear make up.

It's getting me quite down as people have commented on it.

My cheeks are red with small spots, and can be a bit itchy..is this postpartum acne?!

Anyone else had this and what did you do to make them go away :(

I'm a bit different to you as I have always suffered on and off with acne. However, mine improved quite a bit in pregnancy and was worse than ever postpartum. It's just cleared up significantly (better than it's been in years) and my dd is now 10 months.

It might be worth seeing a doctor if it is really bad. However, I found that hydration really helped and I changed up my skin care routine. I now use all laroche posay effaclar range. Salisylic acid has always been great for my acne.

Acne is such a horrid thing to deal with. Since you've never had acne problems before, it's likely your skin will get back to itself once your hormones calm down. Good luck xx
