Can it be harmful to my baby?

About 2 hours ago at my local baby sensory class my baby put a tinsel material Pom Pom in his mouth (for all of about 2 minutes .. if that) as everything is going in the mouth at the moment. I hadn't realised until I tried to take it off him that the green dye from the Pom Pom had come off and gone in his mouth and was all over his chin and on his hand.

Should I be worried, will it harm him ?

It’s probably fine but maybe call 111 just in case. They’ll be able to tell you what to look out for if you need to worry.

At our baby sensory class, everything was non-toxic as they know babies put stuff in their mouths. I'd be amazed if a baby sensory class had managed to find baby items with toxic dye! I wouldn't give any more thought to it tbh.

I didn't think anything of it then I was just sat there a couple hours after and it dawned over me if I should be worried.
He's my first, he's only 4 months.... I'm dreading the stage where he picks things up I'll be a nervous wreck! 🤭😂

If it helps, at 13 months old I turned away for literally a second to find my son had reached out and picked up a dried bird poo and started eating it.. he was fine. My friends toddler ate a live slug… also fine. They are grim little creatures but resilient! The children… but I suppose slugs too!

My daughter eats cat food....
And whatever she find lying around. Kids are tough... Humankind wouldn't have survived if we dropped dead from eating some random stuff as kids.
