Hay fever in 2 year old

My little one is suffering really badly with hayfever, she’s had a bad runny nose which is causing her to cough, her eyes are constantly watering and she keeps itching her ears.

We spoke to the pharmacist who gave her piriton and we’ve tried calpol as well which all help relieve her symptoms slightly but it’s still quite bad. It’s keeping her up at night and I just hate seeing her like this and not knowing what else to do. We’ve tried to keep her inside as much as possible, windows closed and kept our washing in to dry to try to keep pollen in the house to a minimum, does anyone else have any experience of this and did anything else help?

My DS has had hay fever since a year old but this year (he is 45.5 now) it’s been really bad for him. After reading the piriton bottle I was surprised to read it needs to be given every 4-6 hours. I have since bought Benadryl which is once in the morning once and night and it’s helped his symptoms massively.

It's been awful this year. We've been keeping on top of pirition doses and making sure DS has a bath and hair wash to get any pollen off him. A spoonful of local honey is meant to help but I've had no luck finding any.
