Baby broke out in a really bad rash

Hey guys,

My 5 month old ebf baby broke out in a really bad rash on his skin yesterday, but I noticed the rash was only on the parts of his skin which was exposed, his face neck upper arms and chest.

I can’t understand what it’s a reaction to. He was laying on a blanket and pillow at my mum’s which has dried food and milk left on it by my baby nephew. It’s the only thing I can think off. Can he actually react to this or am I being ridiculous?

Reminds me of how my dd used to react to powdered washing detergent. Could it be she doesn't agree with the one your Mum uses?

We uae the same one as my mum so most likely it won’t be due to washing detergent.
