Hospital, real nappies and good eco-disposables?

I've got 10 weeks to go, very bad braxton hicks and I'm starting to think I'd better get sorted for this baby!
I'm going for sized cloth nappies with the next one (DD1 is in ME onesize) and have already had great fun planning my spending spree but I'm wondering about hospital. I used nature nappies on DD1 last time and although they were fine at first we rapidly grew to hate them. I was in hospital for 3 days last time so I don't think cloth will be an option so I'm probably going to get some eco-disposables just for hospital. I've tried moltex and really liked them but does anyone have any good newborn eco-disposable suggestions?
Also DD1 (19 months) has started fetching her changemat when she wants changing and trying to pull her pants down, should I start introducing her to the idea of a potty?

With all 4 of mine we've done a couple of weeks of disposables. I used moltex on dd1 - but they seemed very big! I think with dd2 I used nature nappies - not that nice, but seemed to fit better than moltex. They might have changed the sizing as dd1 is nearly 4. With the first 2 I used ordinary disposables, not sure that eco ones were around!

As for your dd1 you might as well. My dd2 is 17 months and pulls at her trousers when she's doing a wee. Shakes her head at me whn she's doing a poo. I keep meaning to get potty out of the loft just to show her and get her to sit on it before her bath.

Lucy - have been thinking similar question.

I have just used Moltex for the first time on my 20 month old due to a sore willy and liked them lots. Back to cloth now for him, but will buy some more Moltex for baby due Christmas Eve. Not sure nature baby are that eco (but much cheaper than moltex).

Anyone know if you can use washables with meconium?

well you can use washables with meconium.... but it will stain the nappies

i expect like most stains it will eventually wash out with the bleach (aka optical brighteners) in most washing detergents and being on the washing line exposed to UV light etc...

wont damage the nappy though
