11 month old suddenly won't sleep HELLLPPP plesse

My 11 month old DD has suddenly decided to not go to sleep.
We've had a bedtime routine nailed since she was 3 months old. Bath, ready, bottle then bed. But for the last few weeks she just won't be put down. Although on a rare occasion she goes straight down no problem.
She can self settle and will often do this when she wakes at 5 with no immediate response she grabs a dummy and goes back to sleep so I know she can.

We've tried cry it out method (I could not last long it killed me) ferber method and the one where you pat and stroke their back.

I'm at a loss is this just a blip and we should continue our old routine or is there something else that we can try.

Please help
Thanks in advance x

What are her day time naps like? Often it’s linked to naps not being right.

Don’t do cry it out , it’s probably teething have you tried calpol ? If it works then you’ll know it’s pain keeping them up. If I look back now on all The times I stressed about them not going to sleep and googling I would say just let them stay awake untill really tired even if it gets to midnight (not saying it’s easy- very frustrating). Sometimes it only last a couple of weeks though and there back to sleeping through. Have a look at adjusting naps doesn’t hurt to try , but I bet it’s teeth x

@Fitforforty she has a long morning nap around 2 hours but has refused an afternoon nap for about 2 months ish 😔
@Rc123467 I hated the cry it out made me feel terrible so defo won't be going back there.
I go through a vicious cycle why wont she sleep, what did I do, to its another leap, to she will be fine in few days lol 😭
we have tried calpol and nurofen on separate nights I do suspect some more teeth or maybe a bit of separation. I hope that whatever it is, is better for her soon x

Sounds like she has dropped to 2 naps which is perfect for her age. What time does she get up, nap and go to bed?

FTMandwinginit · 02/07/2021 20:13

She naps at around 11 for about 1.5 hours to 2 hours, we then fight for a nap at 3 for half about half hour 45 mins and start bedtime routine at 7 and she normally wakes up at 8am sometimes 2am for a quick guzzle of milk but that was starting to get rare until the last few weeks 😔 we've delayed bedtime tonight and put the toys away early as she just wasn't showing signs of tiredness at all fingers crossed for tonight.

Does she definitely need the afternoon nap if you're fighting for it? If you drop that, she'll be tired at bedtime, or if you want to keep it you could wake her after 20 mins?

FTMandwinginit · 03/07/2021 08:55

I dont think she needs it if we're out and about she doesn't sleep so at the moment she more often doesn't have it.
Last night was a dream fingers crossed its just a blip but we shall see what happens tonight lol
