Hello May baby mummies Smile
Decided to make a thread for parents that have had their babies in May and see how everyone’s babies are doing. New milestones etc.
Somewhere to discuss their problems and joys.

Baby boy is 8 weeks tomorrow. Wow time really does fly!
I remember impatiently waiting for him to make an appearance 😂
How are all the mums doing and how are your babies? Look forward to hearing from you ladies!

Thanks for starting @AyyX!

My little boy is six & a half weeks & doing well, can’t believe how quickly time is going & how much he is changing & growing already!

He’s generally such a content & chilled little man but is having a clingy afternoon today & won’t seem to let me lay him down to sleep… so I’m just enjoying the cuddles & thinking he won’t be this tiny for long!

How is your baby boy doing? & how are you feeling?

RunnerDuck2020 · 01/07/2021 18:29

Hi all, my little boy was also born in May and is just over six weeks now. The days are flying by!

He also insists on being cuddled all day, which is lovely but does make it very hard to follow the advice I keep being given to sleep when he sleeps Grin

I’ve actually been surprised just how exhausting it all is, considering he sleeps most of the time!

How are you all getting on?

AyyX · 01/07/2021 18:31

@CoffeeMonkey Compared to my toddler girl, I would say he’s a bit more difficult. He cries quite a lot and is very fussy.. always seems uncomfortable. But he’s slowly getting better in terms of chilling a bit more while awake. Usually he’ll cry every time you lay him down but right now he’s actually laying down and chatting away making noises Grin

Apart from the 2hourly feeds in the night, I’m doing great thank you! Hope you are well Smile

How is your little one with feeding?

@RunnerDuck2020 oh mine loves a cuddle too!
He’s such a light sleeper! Very different to my girl

Hello May mummies, my little boy is 8 weeks today and so different to his sister, rarely cries at all. His sister would cry all night and still is a screamer now. I hope. He stays that way but I know they can change like the wind. I’m attempting the zoo tomorrow with 3 children by myself for the first time. Could be a disaster.

Hi. My daughter is 8 weeks now. She makes lovely cooing noises and particularly likes cooing at her caterpillar toy. She sleeps amazingly well at night (my first daughter was a terrible sleeper and I was absolutely exhausted for months!) but not well at all in the day so gets grumpy sometimes. It's hard to get any jobs done too. She breastfeeds frequently in the day. I've tried her on a bottle of expressed milk but so far she seems to be a bottle refuser like her sister was.

Lovely thread idea! My little boy is 6 weeks tomorrow, got some lovely first smiles earlier this week and he's been sleeping/feeding so well. We feel very lucky he seems such a content baby 🥰

@stairway you are brave and so good! I couldn’t take my toddler and newborn out by myself.. my toddler is superrrr active and just runs wild (LITERALLY). And if I need to breastfeed my newborn I won’t be able to because I’ll have to run after my toddler 😭
I feel like it’s too much work on my own if I go out 😬

@AegonT my oldest was breastfed till 6months, luckily enough she was fussy with bottle because my cousin who breastfed her baby, the baby wouldn’t take bottle at all. That’s why now with my second baby I have to express sometimes and give bottle otherwise I’m afraid he won’t like bottles in future 😬

@lucymagoo that is so lovely! My two are completely different to each other. I feel like my oldest was quite a good baby (minus the 2/3 weeks of colic days). My second seems to be a cry baby 😂

Oh gosh I didn't even consider they would refuse a bottle. We started expressed milk in a bottle in the first week, pretty much right away so I could get some sleep and my husband can feed him. He happily swaps between both thankfully!
