Getting myself upset over friendship issues !

Does anyone else get over involved and upset with their kids friendships! My dd struggles to make friends but she made a lovely friend and they spent many a happy hour FaceTiming each other and playing Roblox together. The friend has now got another friend and she has completely dropped my dd. I feel so so sad about it ! I know I should toughen up but it brings back all my old school day problems !

I used to over involve myself in DDs friendships and pretty sure I was THAT parent complaining at school about various friends who had said or done something unkind to DD 10.
I have quickly found however that friendship dynamics change so much that it's best just to let DD get on with it.
It does help that she's got lots of friends and tbh I've found they're all as bad as each other and it seems to go round in circles about which girl is being left out one week and who is miss popular.
I try to encourage friendships away from school too so DD has friends from football and friends who live in the street (but go to another school) who she can play with.
