I've just started weaning my LO and am starting with purées, some packets some homemade. Mostly homemade hopefully! LOvis 6 months today.

I started last Thursday and am just wondering when should I expect my LO to take more at a time? Currently he's having about 2 tsps once a day (which I know is fine!)

Also when did you start introducing a second meal like breakfast?

Hi,
Ice been weaning my LO for 4.5 weeks,
The first week I did once a day the 2nd week i went to twice a day (as she took to food so easily) and the the 3rd week I started 3 times a day.
I offer her now about 2.5 tablespoons per meal and she has her bottle after.
I spoke to the hv and she advised to be led by my LO in regards to portions, I know she would probably eat abit more but ill keep it as this for a couple more weeks ans then

Sorry hit the button!
In a couple more weeks I will probably up it to 3 tablespoons per meal 😁

I did purées / single tastes for about a week then started introducing more interesting things. My baby is now 7 months old and for the last week or so has been eating 2 meals a day. Breakfast is usually weatabix / toast and scrambled egg / fruit and yoghurt, and lunch is usually pasta with sauce / savoury pancakes / potato wedges / rice dishes / etc. He feeds himself, usually eats 2-3 tablespoons at each meal. More if it’s something he likes - he will eat a whole weatabix with milk and half a banana, but only a few mouthfuls of pasta for instance.
