Growing up milk or vitamins for 1 year old

My baby is about to turn one. She’s now down to two 4 oz milks a day. I’m aware that when they’re having less than 500 mils of formula you need to add vitamins A,C and D.
As she’s still having a morning and bedtime milk I was considering using growing up milk thinking that would cover the vitamin requirements.
Otherwise I guess it’s vitamins and cows milk for the drink?

It’s when they get to less than 17oz of formula they need to start vitamins. You will need to compare the vitamin amounts on the vitamins and milk decide which is the best option. Most toddlers reduce their milk take at 1 when you swap to cups instead of bottles.

Please don’t use growing up milk. It’s just the baby milk companies’ way of getting round the fact that they aren’t allowed to advertise baby milk in this country (and others).

As you say, it’s just baby milk with added vitamins- she’ll need to take the vitamins long after she’s stopped drinking baby milk, so get her used to the vitamins now.

And please don’t take this as a criticism of formula. It isn’t, at all. We are very lucky to have it as an option, and I have used it myself. But the baby milk companies have been guilty of some horrible practices in other countries - such as giving out free or very low cost baby milk in hospitals, claiming it’s better than breast milk, only to massively increase the price later on when mothers have started using it, their milk supply has gone, and they have no choice. It leads to people who can’t afford it watering it down, or using unsuitable alternatives, and babies getting malnutrition. That’s the reason for the advertising ban in many countries, and also why it’s not allowed to be discounted in this country or subject to price promotions.
