AIBU Swapping to size 2 teats @9wks

Baby just wasn't eating enough for weight... Stuck at 60mls per feed when it should be 120ml according to baby's weight etc etc.... We noticed one of our teats was dripping when none of the other size 1s were.... And baby always consumed more from this teat.... So I ordered the next size (2) and baby has just taken their first full 120ml feed! But the boxes say wait till 3 mths... Have I BU?

It’s a guideline. Do what is best for your baby not the one of the side of the box. Make sure you are paced feeding and if he drinks the whole bottle then you need to offer more milk.

I always moved tests up early because otherwise my babies wouldn’t take their full feeds! There’s nothing wrong with using size 2s at all if it’s working for you and your baby

I was told at the hospital to skip the first size and go straight to size 2!
