Hi
Wanting to switch formulas. C&G doesn't agree with DS. Suffering with wind/gripe pains I think..
my question is I can't seem to decide between hipp and kendamil. Anyone have any experiences with either one?

The Kendamil marketing team will be along shortly

They regularly pop up on these boards

No experience with Kendamil, but we made the same switch to Hipp for the same reasons. It was awful. It's marketed as 'organic' and 'more gentle' but it gave my dd horrible reflux. Like projectile vomiting every feed. I kept trying for a week because it didn't even occur to me that it could be the formula because everyone raved about it. Finally, the light bulb went off in my head that the reflux started when we switched. I switched back to C & G straight away and the reflux was gone and she was happy as could be again.

Different formulas suit different babies but I would caution thinking these are 'better' just because of how they're marketed. I would probably try the other (cheaper, easier to buy everywhere) formulas first before making the switch to one of these to see if those work well.

Agree with PP about Hipp - it made my DD’s reflux a million times worse. Kendamil also didn’t agree with her.

Can try dentinox in his bottles, it takes away the bubbles and helps with burping.

You might be better trying dentinox, different bottles, or comfort milk but if it’s between the 2 then I’d choose Hipp over Kendamil because they make a ready a made which Kendamil don’t. My babies have all had Hipp and were fine but different formulas suit different babies!

Iv just recently tried both as was trying to find what suited her best. Hipp was fine, she did sometimes bring little bit back up but was happy on it then I changed to Kendamil for other reasons and she's fine on this too don't have any problems and we have been using it now for a couple of weeks.

I was also going to add that kendamil doesn't seem to be as available in the shops as Hipp so had to get it online.

Bumping as want to ask this question too

@CogFire this is a 3 year old thread thread but happy to update. Ken family made him worse but hipp was fantastic. Game changer for us

Thanks, maybe I’ll stick with the Hipp. So hard to know what to do!

Tractortedd · 28/12/2024 20:49

@CogFire my baby was awful on Kendamil but fine on Hipp. Also I could literally never get hold of Kendamil, they have serious supply issues. I hated the stress every time I got near the end of a tin.

Thanks @Tractortedd thata useful to know about supply, really not what you want.
