Opportunities for skin to skin?

Hi all. I have a 2 week old baby and would love to do some more skin to skin time but he’s either ravenous so we need to feed him ASAP with no time for skin to skin or asleep so don’t want to wake him up to take his clothes off for skin to skin. How do you guys fit in skin to skin time?

Are you breast feeding or formula feeding?

How about straight after a nappy change? You've already had to undress him at least partially so seems like the logical time.

Just strip him off when you do a nappy change and then feed or let him sleep on you for skin to skin time. Put a blanket over him if you're worried about him getting chilly.

Congrats on your lovely new baby op!
Have you tried Having a bath together? Or after he’s had a bath keep him just in a nappy and then do feed/ sleep on you or partners chest, this is what we did with ds when he was a newborn.
Is he breast or bottle fed? If breast just quickly remove his vest when he starts rooting instead of when he’s got to the point of crying for milk and go topless or if bottle fed you/ partner can remove your top and babies clothes and do skin to skin that way while feeding?
Another option if he goes from 0- hungry really quickly is when there is a nappy change/ blow out just keep him in a nappy then and use the time after for some skin to skin time

Thanks all! We are doing a mix of breast and bottle at the moment as my milk production isn't as high as it should be. We typically change nappies before feeding so maybe we need to get better at feeding cues to have time to change and strip him before feeding before he gets too restless and then do some skin to skin post feeds. 😉

Skin to skin in itself aids milk production and often latching so when ever you can go for it be that a dedicated cuddle, whilst feeding , in bath etc 🥰 I’m currently sat skin to skin with my 6 week old feeding whilst watching the rugby 😀

I had mine on me for much of the day. I read about having days of skin to skin as a way to help increase milk floe.
Just have "skin to skin" while you feed/while they sleep and while you cuddle etc!
