Hip Safe Seat

Hi everyone

Apologies, I wasn't sure where to post this. I'm looking for some recommendations for a hip safe seat for my 20 week old. She is very close to sitting, constantly pulling herself into a seated position when being held and generally holds herself up with a little support. She's got a bouncy chair (that she's rapidly outgrowing) but I've yet to buy a high chair. I've heard Bumbo seats etc aren't great on their hips. I'll likely buy an IKEA Antilop soon for when we start weaning, but I was just looking for a seat for the floor. Are they generally just not recommended?

I wouldn't bother at this stage. She's not far off properly sitting and a baby seat will be outgrown really quickly. An Antilop with the padded insert will be great in a few weeks.

I agree with the PP.

I don't think you need one either. IKEA highchair is great for weaning but you don't need a seat for the floor really. We used one of the Galt inflatable ring things occasionally. But it's better for them to not be in a seat really and if she's close to sitting herself it would be a waste
