Tommee Tippee Teat Sizes - advice

My LO has been fighting his bottles for the past couple of weeks and it's driving me mad!

We went from size 1 to size 2 tommee tippee teats at about 2 months as he was falling asleep halfway through a feed and all was fine after that.

Now he's almost 6 months, and just seems to fight every feed. He will start off ok but then just keep pushing the bottle out with his tongue, hitting the bottle away, shutting his mouth and refusing to take it etc. I've tried going longer between feeds so he's more hungry, sitting in a quiet room with no distractions, having breaks, etc. But it's just constant.

Is this all signs he needs to move up to size 3? What made you change when you went up if you don't mind me asking?

We have just started purées (2 days ago), but this has been going on for over 2 weeks so long before we started weaning. And he's having a tiny amount of purée once a day so it can't be that he's full up from that as this happens before and after!

Would definitely try a faster teat! Sounds like he’s frustrated with the flow.

I went up when my DD was doing the same. Took her a few feeds to adjust but was much better overall.

My 6 month old did exactly this and changing to size 3 helped a lot

My DD was like this at 5 months too. Every single feed was a battle! Moving up to fast flow teats made it a little better but if you've started weaning maybe accelerate that if he seems ready. Looking back I really think my DD was ready for trying solids earlier
