Hi all

I have a boy who is nearly 4 months since born i have ebf and coslept, we are trying to transition him into a crib he has chicco next to me one but he HATES it screams till hes choking gets so worked up its horrible, ive done all the tricks muslin under matress, hot water bottke, t shirt with my smell, white noise, hand on his tummy for comfort, all of them NOTHING works, i read that 4 month babies go throigh a growth spurt around this time and have trouble sleeping? Anyway aside from that im back to work in September and want hin to be on bottle fully by then, ive tried dropping night feeds and an afternoon feed, it worked the first time and now..no spits formula out, we have the prep machine so know its at right temp etc he just pulls at my top and buries hes face in my boob, my partner has also tried to bottle feed him he just cries... what am i doing wrong or not doing? Id really appreciate any advice x

Your not doing anything wrong. Breast milk tastes much sweeter than formula and he wants the comfort of feeding from you.

Yes, there's a four month sleep regression which is a really tough time.

As above, breast milk tastes much sweeter and he will be used to the comfort. Have you tried leaving the room while partner feeds him? They can sense that you're nearby and I'm sure they can smell breast milk from a mile away!
I actually found that mine would take expressed breast milk straight from the fridge so you could try formula at different temperatures? I know you can buy little bottles of ready made formula that you could try at room temperature or cold?
