Hi everyone. You may know me from the four month sleep regression support group 😫 ... three months on and we’re still struggling. I know DD has a feed-to-sleep (EBF) association and we plan to start to work on that, but I’ve realised she also has a sleep-to-feed association. She just won’t take more than a few mouthfuls except at night. And so nights are now chaos, up every hour or so for a 15 minute feed, and sometimes only sleeping 10 or 20 mins, at which point I’m so tired I just feed her again.

How do I get her to feed enough that we can start to settle her for nights another way? I’ve never been sure of hunger cues so used to offer a feed lots (on wake up, when grouchy, before going out, just in case...) but have started to try and space out feeds so it’s just on waking (morning and from naps, then before bath and before bed) thinking if she’s hungrier she’ll take more. But it hasn’t helped much. I just don’t really know what’s best. I never thought I’d be a schedule type mum but I’d be grateful to hear suggestions for how to time feeds - and how to fix our horrific nights!

DD1 did this, she was ff but looking back it was allergy related. At 7 months the world is so much more exciting. Try spending some time at home and feeding in a quiet room every two hours during the day to see if you can reset things.
