Teething

My daughter is just over 43 weeks (33 weeks corrected)

She is teething so bad she has just got her front two bottom teeth and it already seems like her top front teeth are coming through, I've gave her baby bonjela and the Ashton & parsons teething power, frozen water melon to cool her gums, but not much seems to be working.

Does anyone have any ideas of what else I can try? Because she is struggling to sleep at night because it also.

Thank you in advance! Smile

Ibruprofen and Dentinox teething gel worked here.

Fitforforty · 21/06/2021 14:09

How old is she? Ibuprofen and anbesol liquid ( not gel) are the best. The only things in the powder which help is sugar.

Whats 33 weeks in months? This is controversial but the reason what youve tried isnt working is because the remedies you're trying are homeopathic. Honestly the only things that work are calpol, ibuprufen and anbesol

I'm not sure either, I'd been counting their age in months for quite a while by then.

This ^^

Anbesol is amazing and the only thing that works for my DS.

Nearly 11 months - I had to get a calculator out! So definitely able to have anbesol liquid now.

Thanks for helping us all out, yes if baby is almost 11 months they will be fine with Anbesol liquid.

Also its definitely more helpful if asking for over the counter medication if you're counting in months or if you day nearly 1.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 21/06/2021 14:26

Ah 11 months, thanks!

Yeah you can use calpol, ibuprufen and anbesol.

Thanks, think I would have had to get a calculator out as well Smile

There are 52 weeks in a year so 33 weeks is no where near 11 months. It's more like 7 1/2 months. Maybe 8.

The PP obviously made a typo in writing 33 instead of the 43 months which is the age the child is so the age they used the calculator to work out.

OP says that baby was born 43 weeks ago and has an adjusted age due to being born early.

I think that the 11 months refers to the birth age and not the adjusted age.
