Restarting breastfeeding

Hi. My little girl is 8 weeks old. I breastfed for the first week but for personal reasons decided to switch to bottle feeding. Anyway now I feel able to restart especially as I've had nothing but trouble with bottle feeding. I put her to my breast last night and she immediately latched on and I started producing milk right away which is great! I just don't know what I'm doing though. Do I just put her to my breast everytime she's hungry? Do I give her a bottle aswell? How do I know she is drinking enough breast milk? I like the fact with formula you know how much they are having.
Anyone else had any experience restarting breastfeeding?

I haven’t experienced this but kellymom is a good resource for all things bf - there are lots of links on this page kellymom.com/ages/adopt-relactate/relactation-resources/ good luck!

Keep offering her your breast at even the slightest feeding cue, licking lips, hands to mouth, rooting side to side with the head or bumping it on you shoulder. Is there a La Lech group near you? They can be amazing expert support.
I can advise on on top ups, maybe offer at regular intervals after a breastfeed.
