I'm about to start potty training my 2 year old! Any recommendations of what underwear to buy him? PT tips also very welcome! Thank you

I'd take him with you and let him choose. He's much more likely to be motivated to wear then if they're something he likes.

With whatever he likes the most. Even if you don't buy, for example, character clothing, who cares about a few underwear?!

Btw, I love the Prince lioneheart weepod. We have 3 Blush, including grandma's house. Never used an actual potty. Also, don't bother with training pants, doesn't work!! Best best way is no clothes at all!! Lucky it's summer

None for the first 6 weeks. Underwear can feel similar to a nappy and they are more likely to forget that they haven’t got a nappy on.

I buy multi packs from the supermarket. We've had a pretty easy time with toilet training but I've had to bin a few pairs so nothing expensive!

Get a size bigger, they’re easier for them to pull up and down

Whatever character they like. Im not normally a fan of character clothing, but it makes them happy and you don't have to see them as they are under clothing. Win!

None for six weeks?!

We are all different but my son has just trained and it was really easy because he was ready. Same with my daughters. My otter son, however, has had all kinds of problems and the only thing we did differently was maybe not wait until he was ready? 🤔 who knows, though.

Agree to get your toddler to choose his own pants! We have Bing Bloody Bunny. 🙄🤣

My dd used nothing for first 6 days. I put her in potty training pants the cloth type, first day back in nursery and it's the only time she has had wet her underwear in nursery. Everyday since she's just worn normal pepper pig nickers. She's been amazing, she choose to use the potty. I have tried training her twice before and each time was unsuccessful. Then 3 weeks ago she said she wanted to use the potty. Since then only wet through a handful of times, such has the first time she tried underwear. She was just ready.

I’ve just potty trained my two year old (no tips on the training as it took us ages!) but in terms of underwear, I preferred the trunk ones rather than y fronts as the waistband is looser and it’s a lot easier for him to pull up and down. This sort of thing, but supermarkets do them too:

Good luck and I hope you don’t have a. New settee!
