6 week old still won't lay on back

We have omeprazole now for silent reflux but he still won't lay asleep on his back for more than 20 mins. It's really hard sleep wise. I wait to see if he can resettle, pop his dummy in etc but he ends up crying and hen needs soothing and rocking back to sleep. Transfer him to the crib and boom it starts over.

How and by what age did people resolve this issue? I've got to persevere. Been putting him in the sling for naps in the day as I've got my 2 year old to look after I can spend hours rocking him for him to not even nap. Is that making it harder for him?

We are desperate for some sleep here.

Put something under one end of the cot like a fat plank of wood or something. To tilt it.
I did with my first. Helped a bit.

Though I ended up bedsharing by about 10 weeks as it actually made things so much easier. He just wanted to be next to me. If you're breastfeeding, neither of you are smokers and he was a full term baby it's safe...link to lullaby trust advice in case you want to try that www.lullabytrust.org.uk/safer-sleep-advice/co-sleeping/

We had the same and he couldn’t be on his back for almost 8 months. It was exhausting as he had to be held upright so we slept in shifts.

Have you trie using a T-shirt that DH has worn as the sheet in his crib? It might just help him to settle.
