How do I get my child to sleep by himself?

The girl is 4 years old and every time, while she is getting to sleep, wants somebody to crib her in her brother's crib. I can't stop doing that as she can't sleep otherwise. Has anybody that kind of experience and can help with advice?

Have you tried audio books? Also my eldest went through a phase similar age and I used to do my ironing / laundry folding / similar mundane jobs directly outside her room with her door ajar so she could see me and gear me as she went to sleep. After a while I didn't need to do it any more. Worth a try?
