my ds 2.7 is now totally dry during the day. Time to try the night..... He doesn't want to wear a nappy & is mostly dryish. Think its when he wakes though. Can anyone recommend a waterproof sheet for a cotbed mattress please?

I use pampers bed mats. Disposable, soft and comfy. They go under the sheet, I spread them full length. A fiver a pack but if he only has occasional accidents its worth it for the convienience. Dunelm also have nice waterproof sheets for big beds but you would have to buy 2 one to wash and one to wear. I used to lift my kids onto the potty at 10pm for the first couple of months and this eliminated accidents whilst they were learning to go through the night.

We just got one from mothercare - it was a little big for the bed but it did the job. Have you tried 'lifting' him to go to the loo when you go to bed.
That prevented quite a few accidents for our DD1

I layer the bed. Pampers bed mats then a sheet. Follow this with a waterproof sheet and a regular sheet on top. Sounds like a faff but if he does have an accident then I can just pull off the top two layers and we're good to go. No searching for clean sheets in the night.
