Anyone else wondering whether or not to have another one?

I have two DC (2 and 5)and some days they are as much as I can handle! Other days I feel broody and feel like I'm not ready to say goodbye to pregnancy and babies. My 2 yr old still doesn't sleep through the night and is loud, stubborn and determined (and gorgeous!). My 5 yr old was a good sleeper, placid and easy. If I could be certain of getting another one like my 5 yr old I'd defintely consider having number three... But then my 2 yr kicks off and I think I must be bonkers to even consider adding a baby into the mix. Anyone got any tips on making the decision?

Thanks Inthegutter.

We were originally waiting on the basis that it would be easier for me if the other two were at School, however, seeing how well they get along now with a 2.5 yr age gap I know that it would be wrong to wait - especially as I have two boys. There is a chance I would have two boys who got on well together and then one child on its own and excluded.

Blimey fishnchips your first post could have been me, i have 2 children 5 & 22 months both personalitys the same as yours unfortunatly though dd has put me off wanting any more ever so i think i am safe, your children sound like my childrens twins though.

Wow This is a big dilemma for lots of us. i thought I was the only one who couldn't work out how many children to have!! I love everybody's posts. Its a toughie. So many pros...and cons...

ScoobyDoo. Our dd has really put us off having any more, esp dh. But in the last month (she's almost 2 1/2)or so she has improved a lot which is why i guess I'm wondering.

Its funny - i really thought second children were supposed to be easy - because they "have to fit in" but our dd has made sure that the household runs around her not her older ds!!

Can someone please design a quiz: "Should you have another baby", that we can all do to help us decide!!

i have only one and am 30 and would like another one but there are alot of things i worry about, mostly selfish tbh! it is not the baby but the pregnancy!
hated the huge bump, and was lucky after as popped straight back into my regular size and had no stretch marks and i worry about gettign them second time! but generally i hated pregnacy with the morning sickness, anoemia, GBS and GD!
i would like to think that in about a year or two i will try for another.

I'm spending more and more time thinking this over too! My worry is that mine are 9 & 5, and lots of folk on here have said how awful a big age gap would be ... would I be a crazy lady to go back to all the nappies and the chaos when I have two who can get themselves dressed, get own snacks, sit still in a cinema etc.?? Argh!! Wish I could see into the future to know what's best to do!
