Swing chair for colic?

Do babies with colic like swing chairs?

I have a 5 week old with terrible trapped wind issues abs colic. I cannot put him down. I use a sling a lot of the day but I am also caring for my 2.5 year old and need to be able to put the baby down sometimes.

Has. Anyone had experience with swing chairs and do colicky babies like them?
My baby doesn't like being on his back much. Don't want to waste money but need a solution!

Thanks

Mine did. Had to swing sideways, not forwards / backwards, otherwise she threw up. I got a cheap one from eBay to test it out - you could try that, or maybe Facebook or Olio.

She was also a sling and upright or I’ll scream baby. So Flowers, it’s very tough.

We called my swing chair “the gift from God”!
When I sold it on, I described it as exactly that.
It was the single thing that worked and got us through those horrific first few weeks with colic.
Get one,

@SpringBluebellWoods thank you. How long did this hellish phase last for you?

My doctor was Adams t they grow out of colic by 12 weeks. Mine was about 15 weeks.

Adamant.

Had some success with chamomile crystals. Swing did not work for us. Tiger in tree position on my arm mostly. Changed pram into pushchair so could raise slightly. Same with cot, had tilted slightly.

Lasted until about 6 months and got better once she started eating food, though she was highly sensitive (bothered by noise, changes in routine, minor bumps abs scrapes etc) and sicky / nappy explody right through toddlerhood. Still gets an upset tummy when worried, I think it’s just her weak spot.
