Am I being a bit PFB or should I have called 111?

16 month old DD tripped over today and bit the inside of her lip. There was a bit of blood and lots of crying, but within 5 minutes she was absolutely fine. She didn't bang her head or anything else. However, a few minutes later we went into the garden and before I could stop her she started chewing on a deckchair Blush
I examined it and there is a tiny bit of rust where her mouth was, and goodness knows what other germs from where it's been stored in the garage. She has had all of her vaccinations so should be protected from tetanus, but now I'm lying here awake worrying about how likely it is to get infected Sad
I'm not really sure what a medical professional could do unless it does get infected, but I feel like maybe I should have called 111 and/or got her checked (for what?!)
Am I overthinking this or should I call the GP tomorrow? Feel like the worst mum ever Sad

It’s awful when they hurt themselves. (They all do it from time to time, though - don’t beat yourself up.) I’d just see how she is in the morning. Hopefully she’ll be fine and no need for doctors. If she’s not herself, or the wound looks worse, then you can call in the morning.

I'm pretty sure she'll be completely fine 🙂 But I know how you feel, I remember lying awake one night when my dad accidentally have my DS (probably about the same age) a drink from a sippy cup that hasn't been washed properly and had some tiny mould spots on it. He was fine and I was more tired than usual the next day!

Keep an eye on where she cut her moth and if it starts to look dodgy call the GP about it. Hope you can get some sleep.
