16 month old DD tripped over today and bit the inside of her lip. There was a bit of blood and lots of crying, but within 5 minutes she was absolutely fine. She didn't bang her head or anything else. However, a few minutes later we went into the garden and before I could stop her she started chewing on a deckchair [blush] I examined it and there is a tiny bit of rust where her mouth was, and goodness knows what other germs from where it's been stored in the garage. She has had all of her vaccinations so should be protected from tetanus, but now I'm lying here awake worrying about how likely it is to get infected [sad] I'm not really sure what a medical professional could do unless it does get infected, but I feel like maybe I should have called 111 and/or got her checked (for what?!) Am I overthinking this or should I call the GP tomorrow? Feel like the worst mum ever [sad]
