Hi!

So what are the best bottles for formula feeding? My LO is 5 weeks. We got tommee tippee anti colic ones and they seem crap. So annoyed. Have tried vari flo teats and anti colic tests but takes him an eternity to have a bottle and he keeps losing interest after 1 oz.

Please advise which are best and why?

Thank you

I was recommended Dr Brown's by a nanny. No experience of them though.

We use MAM here, had no issues with them. Bonus is that they sterilise in the microwave! And they are anti colic.

We really like Dr Brown’s and Nuk. I started with Tommee tippee but I just didn’t like that everytime he was eating the teat would kinda just fold in. Just too soft and flimsy.

Ive used Avent Anti Colic throughout - never had an issue

Anyone else finds MAM teats too big? I have size 2 which is supposed to be from 2+m. My DS is 4m now and the teat just feels huge in his mouth.

I'm a ftm to a 5 month old boy we started off on the mam bottles as I was convinced they where great but when our DS suffered with colic I couldn't understand why they wasn't helping so we changed to the Dr Browns option plus and I swear by them for us.

You could always try a mam bottle if your a boots member (free to sign up) on the parents section they are now giving away a free mam bottle along with other stuff hope it helps 😊

@Mazzatron MAM ones are brilliant. I used them with my toddler and she loved them. She would only take those out of all the other ones when she was younger too. Anti colic and can self sterilise too!

It sounds that your little one is struggling to transfer milk from the bottle. Before spending a small fortune on different bottles, it might be worth getting an assessment for tongue tie.

Someone qualified to assess tongue ties will perform a full oral assessment, checking tongue function, and feeling round the mouth with a (gloved) finger. Don't be fobbed off by a GP/health visitor/midwife having a peer inside the mouth and proclaiming everything "looks fine"

We used Avent and had no issues. It can be so hard to find what is right though
