Growing pains in feet?

DD has recently turned 4yrs and has for some months now had random occasions where she wakes up in the night saying the tops of her feet hurt. She is quite upset by this and it takes a while to calm her down.
Is this growing pains? Does anyone have any idea about this? As said it is literally only every now and then and always at night, but is enough to be waking her up when she experiences this. Thanks!

Yes I had the same as a child, all the way up my legs too, it can be excruciating! Paracetamol always did the trick and a hot water bottle on the pain for a quick fix was great. Also I remember getting my mum up at 4 in the morning to massage my feet until they felt better 😂

I’ve been rubbing moisturiser into her feet when she’s been woken by it but a hot water bottle sounds like a good idea, thanks! How long did you experience this for?

Awww my 5 year old gets this. He gets the ones in his legs too, but the foot ones were a first for me. I have a microwaveable Beenie thing that I put over the covers but warms his feet and sometimes a pillow between the legs and laying on side seems to help him. I also give him calpol. After a calm down and some leg/foot rubs he nods off but he really does get so upset from it. He's probably had it 4 times in the last year. But nothing for months now so hopefully that's them "grown" for a while!

Unfortunately on and off well into my teens. It would get bad for a few days every few months maybe though so nothing too intense. I hope it doesn't last too long bless her
