I know it’s no way near chrsitmas but somebody mentioned it to me today and it’s had me stressing out all day😂
it will be our little ones first christmas, and also our first in our first home together!
unfortunately, mine and my partners family do not get along very well, his family have been nothing but rude to me and my family for our whole relationship. My mum lives with my brother, who works on Christmas Day every year at a busy restaurant, so usually it’s just me and her as we don’t have any other family. My partners family consists of his mum, dad and two brothers who still live at home, and who also bring their own partners for christmas dinner.
my stress is, I don’t want to pick between who’s house we go to, or who we spend which day of the holidays with, because I know if I don’t spend it with my mum she will be alone, which would break my heart. But I also know that my partner would obviously like to spend some time with his family and that they would like to see Alfie on his first christmas.
our apartment isn’t big enough to host everyone, and as I said they are very rude to me and my mum.
I don’t really know what I’m hoping to get out of this post but I just know whatever time/day of the holidays we spend with my partners family, my mum will be alone, where as if we don’t spend it with them, they still have the other people.
