Lump in baby's breast!!!

Please can anyone give me any advice

Found a lump under my 7 month old nipple, about the size of 10p coin. It doesn't hurt her and 'moves around' under her skin

Can't help but think the worst!!! Go surgery is closed, do I take her to A&E or call 111? I've heard it can be normal because of hormones but it's just in the one breast and really quite hard

Are you breast feeding her ?

DinosaurDiana · 05/06/2021 08:32

If you are breast feeding it is very likely to be your hormones causing it, but a call to 111 would be right anyway.

No I stopped breast feeding her about 3 months ago

111 then.

The fact it moves around is very good (so I was told when I had lump which turned out to be nothing).

Call 111, I expect you will have to go to GP on Monday but worth asking in case there is anything urgent to rule out. And hopefully to get some reassurance. Flowers

My daughter had the same! Disappeared when she was about 10 months. Doctor said it was premature breast buds.

SassyPants87 · 05/06/2021 09:37

@CharlieB93 that's really reassuring to hear!

I actually felt the other nipple and there is actually another smaller lump there too so I'm
Hoping it is just hormonal and like your baby, premature breast buds

I called 111 anyway and a doctor will be calling me back

Gosh the worry just never stops does it!

My baby had this, Midwife said it was my hormones causing it and I didn’t breast feed. Looked very much like breast buds, they didn’t last long.

CharlieB93 · 06/06/2021 12:51

@SassyPants87 did you hear back from the doctor? Hope everything is ok!

SassyPants87 · 06/06/2021 15:18

@CharlieB93

I was told that it sounds like it's most likely breast buds but I'm making an appointment with my gp tomrorow for a face to face appointment so they can double check
