Baby rolling in sleep

Hi all,
First time mum & my LO is 5.5 months and in her own room, she has been rolling from back to front alot this past week and doing this at night when asleep.
I've read that when they learn this new milestone they tend to do it at night when they are asleep also!
She seems to roll in the same direction instead of back the way she rolled from.
At night she seems to like sleeping on her side then she rolls to her front and then she doesn't have the room to continue rolling that way so she either wakes and fusses so I go in and roll her back or on a few occasions I have woken in the night and notice she is asleep on her front to which I go in and roll her back as I'm worried about her sleeping on her front and SIDS 🙈
Have anyone been through this & how long it lasted for you?
Would you leave your baby on their front if they are asleep & not fussing?

I think that once your baby can roll, it doesn’t matter if she rolls on to her front while sleeping. As long as you lie her down to sleep on her back when she goes down, it’s ok if she rolls on to her front on her own steam.

I was literally about to post very similar tonight, how did your little one get on my DS is exactly the same and it's terrifying me every 2 minutes I have to turn him then we get a big crying fit :(

My daughter is doing the same this week! I was up 7 times last night to to turn her back over as she gets frustrated and whingy when she gets stuck on her front. I did a mad internet search to see what I could find and, as far as I can tell, if there able to roll both ways then you can leave them to sleep on their front but if they can't roll from front to back you should turn them over. Hopefully someone will have experience of how long this will last for because I'm already wreaked!

@Cr17 hey! Didn't want to read and run but sending some solidarity. My little boy is now 14 months - first time mama here 🙋🏻‍♀️ and when he started doing this it scared the life out of me! Just wanted to reassure that if baby can roll from back to front and back again you can rest easy to know they will move their head to be able to breathe and even though the term "leave them to it" from the HV made me go cold, I wanted to reassure she was right. You might find for a while until baby gets confident in the roll there will be nights of going back in to turn over or even just for your own peace of mind turning them back over but they will be okay 💕 always the rule nothing in cot and safe sleeping (on back) do what makes you feel okay x
