Struggling with 4 month old

My baby is 4 months, will be 5 on the 7th. He used to only go to sleep by being rocked by me then sleeping on me. Now he screams and screams until I hand him to his dad who does the same as me and he calms down and falls asleep in minutes. I'm struggling because it feels like he's totally rejecting me. He has had a bit of a personality change over the last week, lots of crying and unhappiness. What is this? 4m sleep regression? I thought teething maybe but calpol not helping. Does he hate me :(

We co-sleep and so far he's okay during the night. It's just getting him to sleep that's the problem! He's also only having 20-30min naps during the day now

He doesn't hate you! They go through stages of who is flavour of the month, be it mum or dad. It could be sleep regression, teething, growth spurt, illness - there are so many different things. I'd let dad deal with baby and you go and enjoy a sit down and a cuppa on your own. He'll be clinging to your knees again in no time. Take the opportunity for some you time, guilt free!

Agree with @MaMaD1990 of course baby doesn’t hate you. Make the most of you time as it probably won’t last long!
