UK 2 year old development check help please :)

Hiya,

Would someone be able to share what the HVs send out for the 2 year development check.

My little girl is 20 months and I have asked for something to be sent around but nothing has come of it.

I’d just like to know if there are more areas that we need to be encouraging her in.

She goes to nursery and they have marked her as saying around 10 words, but realistically ive heard her say around 30 with meaning and she has a few 2 word phrases (what’s that? In there! Where shoes? Where ball? Who dat?) and this morning said a 3 word phrase (where my shoes?). Trend here is that she’s shoe obsessed lol.

But if anyone could share with me some of the development areas that would be fantastic!

If you google 2 year development questionnaire you will be able to find it. Remember she doesn’t need to necessarily be doing everything as it’s a screening device to see if there are areas of concern. So not been able to do 5 things spread over all sections would be fine but not been able to do 5 things in one section may require more investigation.

In my area it’s done between 2 yr and 2 yrs and 4 months so there is still 6 months of development for her to do.

@Fitforforty in mine they said it’s between 20 and 24months.

I’d just like to know if I need to encourage her in any areas xx
