Bleeding gums when teething?

My daughter is teething and has her molars coming in the back. I was brushing her teeth tonight and was shocked to see blood on her toothbrush. It wasn't a lot but still worried! Is this normal when they are teething?

I've found that when the tooth cuts through the gum there is blood. I remember seeing blood on my 6mo front gum and when I looked again the tooth had popped through! Its happened a couple more times since. Keep an eye on it and if you keep seeing blood maybe ask for a dentists advice!
