Sleepovers

My dd is nine in a coupe of weeks and has been invited to a sleepover at her friend who lives in a town about half an hour drive away. They are very good friends and she has been for sleepovers before when the girl lived down the road before she moved away but this would be the first one at the new house. She has been there for lots of play dates but I'm not sure how I feel about it. Am
I being overprotective? I know she would love to go.

I'm not sure I follow. You were happy for her to go to this girls house before, what has changed?

lollipoprainbow · 31/05/2021 12:38

@anothernewtop the fact that the family now live 30 min drive away

I don’t get the issue either, if something happened you’d drive over

What's the problem? You know the family, sleepovers have been ok in the past, so let her go!

Still don't understand?

If you are happy for your child to stay you are happy for your child to stay.

So why does it being 30 minutes drive away make it more dangerous?
The only difference is that it would take you a bit longer to get to her if she wanted to come home.
