Motion sickness in car

Hello fellow parents

Our little girl has experienced car sickness since she was around 6 months old. We were hoping it would be something she grew out of by the time restrictions eased here and we could actually travel to visit places! But unfortunately not.

We have tried pretty much everything to help prevent it except forward facing and medication from GP.

She will be 15 months old when we plan to go away for our first family holiday and knowing the safety advice to keep children rear facing as long as possible I am very hesitant to have to do this.

I am planning to speak to the GP to see if there is anything we could give her to help and therefore keep her rear facing however I would like to hear from parents who have made the hard decision to forward face and it has really helped prevent / reduce car sickness in their children?

Thank you!
