Baby poo help!!

Hello! Grateful for any advice or to hear others’ similar experiences.

My (exclusively breastfed) baby is 11 weeks old and up until a week ago he would poo around once or twice a day and it would be the classic korma colour and consistency (sorry!).

Since then his poo has turned green and he’s started pooing multiple times during/after every feed! For example since 7am this morning he has done four poos.

I know it’s normal for breastfed babies to do this (my daughter pooed 10 times a day until she was 6 months!) but I wondered why it has come on quite suddenly accompanied by the colour change. No changes to my diet that I can think of.

Any advice or sharing of similar experiences gratefully received Smile

From what I remember it's not unusual to have greenish poo, and I think it was to do with what I had eaten, or a bit of an upset tummy.

My HV told me that green poos mean the baby has had lots of the first milk which is sweeter and turns the poo green. She said its harmless though but obviously good if they drain the boob.
